Energy Minister Pranab Prakash Das on Wednesday said there would be no power cuts in any part of the State till May 20.
He said this to reporters after chairing a meeting on the State’s power demands at the State Secretariat.
“In view of the continued heat wave conditions, we have decided to supply power to all areas uninterruptedly. There would be no power cuts till May 20,” Das said.
He said the decision would be extended if high temperature continues thereafter.
It may be noted that, the Government had in January announced not to go for power cuts till April-end.
