No power, water supply in Talcher

Published on:

The residents of Talcher are living without electricity and water since Tuesday evening as gusty wind at a speed of 120kmph created havoc and uprooted trees and electric poles, besides snapping wires. The Kalabaisakhi continued for half an hour.

Due to non-availability of electric power the supply of drinking water has been affected largely through pipes by the PHED.

The judicial campuses and lock offices are also going without power. No official works are being done due to failure of electricity.

On the other hand, due to the workers’ unrest in ENZEN, the service provider agency of Cesu, over last two months, power supply is erratic and the consumers are not getting regular power supply in the hot summer.
