No plan to privatise Paradip Port: BJP trustees

Published on:
Two Paradip Port Trust (PPT) board members, who are BJP leaders, have claimed that the NDA Government at the Centre is not inclined to privatise the port and denied allegation by BJD leaders that a proposal is on active consideration of the Modi Government to hand over the port to the Adani Group, a private port owner of the country. While briefing mediapersons on Saturday, PPT board members Pratap Mishra and Baidhar Mallick informed that when the Union Government has ensured developing the Paradip Port and `400 crore has been estimated for its modernisation and development, the BJD leaders, mainly Paradip MlA and Excise Minister Damodar Rout, are creating a fuss. They dared Minister Rout to make public if he has any documentary evidence.
