There would be no further change in the poll schedule for the 22 of the 25 urban local bodies (UlBs) in nine districts of western Odisha, asserted State Election Commissioner Ajit Kumar Tripathy on Monday.
Undeterred over the protest and law order situation during the filing of nomination papers in Bhawanipatna and Balangir Municipalities, Tripathy said the polling would be done on November 22 as per the notification.
His reaction came in the wake of the obstruction caused by the pro-High Court Bench supporters to the candidates going to file their nomination papers in the Bhawanipatna Municipality. Despite the opposition, as many as 15 candidates filed their nominations there on Monday.
