No info on change of PCC chief: Tytler

AICC Working Committee member and Odisha in-charge Jagdish Tytler on Monday said here, "I have no indication for change of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president (Niranjan Patnaik)."

There is no information to me from any side and there is no decision at the highest level in the party (in this matter) as far as my knowledge is concerned," he told reporters here.

Tytler said party candidates for the 2014 Assembly elections would be declared six months before the polls. Party tickets would not be given to those who have lost elections twice in a row. But cases of defeat by slender margins of votes and fresh winning possibilities would be considered for allotment of tickets.

A "charge-sheet" against the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD Government is under preparation by the Congress and would be made public shortly. The Chief Minister has not answered any of the 29 questions he (Tytler) had asked him earlier, Tytler pointed out.

In reply to a question, he said that if the Chief Minister tries to convince the Prime Minister for declaration of Odisha as a Special Category State, the Congress would have no negative attitude towards the issue.

Tytler demanded arrest of former Minister Raghunath Mohanty for his role in the alleged torture of his daughter-in-law.
