A delegation of Digapahandi  Mandal  BJP led by Srikanta Padhi met the Superintendent of Police here on Friday demanding immediate arrest of the culprit involved in kidnapping of 70- year-old differently disabled Saibani Mallick since October 10. Sources said that, the missing case was linked to an old family rivalry in the village where some aggrieved villagers had threatened to kill Saibani and her family members.

On October 12, Hemalata, Sibani's neice, came to know that her aunt was missing from home and on arriving there she was surprised to notice that her utensils and domestic appliances were scattered.

Hemalata suspected something fishy and immediately lodged a FIR with the Digapahandi Police demanding immediate step to locate her missing aunt.Since the IIC failed to address their problem, the BJP delegation led by Padhi and comprising the missing woman's kin met the SP.
