As Jayakrushna Mohanta retired from the post of Principal of Choudwar College on January 31 handing over the charge to Dr C laxmi, Reader in Economics, having no order either from the DHE Odisha or the Governing Body, she couldn't exercise any financial transactions yet.
This apart, senior most Tushar Kant Pattnaik, Reader in Political Science, who is also senior to Dr C laxmi, has given representations to the higher authorities claiming to appoint him as the Principal.
As exam season has started and six other colleges have been tagged with the centre, due to financial constraints, it's going to face difficulties.
All the lecturers and other staff members have not even got their salaries for the last two months. locals and college staff members have demanded immediate appointment of Principal in the college.
