The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday restricted entry of public into its office and hat of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) for next 15 days as a precautionary measure in view of the rising Covid-19 cases in the city.
BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhury said, “We have appealed to the citizens not to visit the BDA and BMC offices for next 15 days. They can avail services of both through online at www.bhubaneswar.me. They can also dial Helpline-1929 for the same.”
Besides, strict enforcement of social distancing and wearing of masks would be ensured from now on, he added.
Notably, earlier on June 24, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange had announced that all Government offices in the district would remain closed for citizens for 10 days. Besides, the Jajpur administration on Monday restricted public entry to all Government offices in the district.
