In view of the heavy rush of teachers and other staff of colleges to the Higher Education Department office at the State Secretariat, the Government has decided to restrict their entry. As per the decision, henceforth, the college teachers and staff would not be allowed to visit the department office without prior permission from the concerned authorities.
However, they would be allowed to attend the grievance cell hearing on every Monday with prior permission from their principals. Disciplinary action would be taken against those for violation of the order. The Higher Education Department would issue a notification to this effect to all the Government and private colleges, sources said.
