As Mukti Mandap panel meet not held
An application from the lord lingaraj temple trust board, seeking permission for repair, replacement and reinstalling of damaged and broken metal idols (Chalanti Pratimas) of Sri Dolagovinda, Rukmini, lord lingaraj, Devi Parvati and Basudeva, is still lying pending with the Puri Mukti Mandapa Pandita Sabha of the Sri Jagannath Temple here.
The lingaraj Temple board had filed the application years back. As per an instruction of the Puri Mukti Mandapa Pandita Sabha, the lingaraj Temple Authority deposited `1, 022 on May 7 last towards court fee and requested the Sabha to taken an action at the earliest. However, it is now understood that due to some unknown reasons the committee members are not in a position to convene a meeting.
