Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Damodar Rout on Thursday refuted the media reports that two persons died of dengue in the State recently. “This is not a fact.
No causality was reported due to dengue in the State so far. While the blood samples of one of the deceased confirmed that he was not suffering from dengue or malaria, the death of another person is under investigation. Hence, we can’t say the duo died of dengue,” Rout said.
The Minister said so far as many as 787 persons were tested dengue positive, while 128 persons were undergoing treatments. Meanwhile, 510 affected persons were discharged from hospitals after treatments.
Besides, blood samples of nearly 3,690 persons from various parts of the State were sent for examination.
