Cremation of non-Puri residents would not be allowed at the Swargadwar here from Monday (April 26) in view of the second wave of Covid-19, informed Puri district Collector Samarth Verma on Sunday. Asthi Visarjan and other funeral-related rituals would not be allowed near the sea here, the Collector said.Bodies of Covid-19 patients in Puri district would be cremated at Mangalanadi Ghat, he added.
