Police are yet to make any headway in the broad daylight bank robbery on Thursday.
“We suspect the hand of miscreants from outside States in this case with local connivance,” informed Jharsuguda IIC KS Nayak. He, however, clarified that an investigation is on taking into various aspects of the incident.
Notably, six dacoits entered into the Bank of India premises at about 2.00 pm on Thursday and panicked all the staff and customers present inside at gun point. They also locked up all the customers in a room. They took away the keys of the strong room from Branch Manager Kalyani Rout. They also brutally attacked the cashier and asked him to show everything regarding cash. The panicked staff had no alternative than to obey the dacoits who in 15 minutes time decamped with cash worth Rs 86, 36, 000.
It needs to be mentioned here that not a single bank robbery case in this region could be cracked by the police in past as the miscreants did not leave any clue behind.
