Various Government schools in Paralakhemundi Municipality and outside the town have not received the new books yet.
The children have completed their annual exam and the results are not yet declared.
More than 600 students who are studying in the Government schools have alleged deprivation of new books. The teachers and students said that they had been repeatedly informing the concerned authorities to provide the books before the summer holiday but in vain. Without books, their classes are of no use, they added.
They alleged that the Education Minister and the Sarva Sikhshya Abhijan District Project Coordinator are responsible for delays in book supply. SSA District project coordinator Rajani Jani declined to give any comments.
