NKS holds torch rally in BBSR

Expressing solidarity with the agitating farmers in New Delhi, Odisha-based farmers’ body Navnirman Krushak Sangathan (NKS) held a torch rally here on Thursday evening.

The NKS activists, who went in a procession from Master Canteen Square to Ram Mandir Square, shouted slogans against Prime Minister Narenda Modi and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and VK Singh demanding that the new farm laws be withdrawn.

NKS State coordinator Seshadev Nanda said that till the new farm laws are withdrawn, they would continue to agitate and many farmers from Odisha would join the agitating farmers in New Delhi.

NKS assistant coordinator Umakanta Bharat said that if large numbers of farmers from the State attend the Delhi Chalo agitation, they can prove that they don’t need political parties’ support to pressurise the Government.
