The National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NITR) will organise its first golden jubilee lecture on January 10 here at the Bhubaneswar Behera auditorium of the institute.
Former Director of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore Goverdhan Mehta is scheduled to deliver the lecture, informed the institute’s public relations secretary RK Sinha.
The Department of Chemistry will also organise a two-day national conference on “Advances in Chemistry and their Biological and Industrial Relevance (ACBIR-1014)” to mark the occasion. Institute Director Professor SK Sarangi will preside over both the golden jubilee lecture and inaugural function.
