The National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NITR) would hold 13th convocation in the campus here on January 16. World famous architect Dr Sri Karan Grover would grace the occasion as chief guest. NITR Board of Governors Chairperson Vasantha Ramaswamy will preside over the function while Director Prof Sunil Kumar Sarangi will present the annual report.
Around 1,428 students of B Tech, M Tech (Regular), Integrated MSc, MSc, MA, MBA, M Tech (Research) and PhD will be given away degrees. This apart, three alumni will be awarded for their outstanding achievement in management, technology, industries and entrepreneurship in the convocation. A committee headed by Prof A Behera is in charge of all preparations.
