The 11th Convocation of the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NITR) will be held on January 18 in the institute premises. According to public relations secretary of NITR Sudhir Basudev, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation limited (ONGC) Managing Director will grace the occasion as the chief guest and deliver the convocation address.
While the institute’s board of governors’ chairman B Sudhir Chandra would preside over the function, Director Prof Sunil Kumar Sarangi will present the annual progress report of the institute. As per the programme schedule, the degree recipients will have to register their names on January 17. Degrees and medals will be awarded to the passed out students and students who topped in various disciplines.
