In a groundbreaking move to boost employment opportunities and nurture the growth of skilled talent in Odisha, the NIST (Autonomous) launched the Odisha Upskilling and Placement Programme (OUPP) here on Friday.
At the core of OUPP lies the promise of offering 13 students selected at NIST with a life-changing opportunity - a free 6-month training in cutting-edge technologies like JAVA Full Stack and Data Analytics. The intensive training aims to empower them with the skills required to excel in today's competitive job market.
Under the expert guidance of NIST Founder Chairman Dr Sukant K Mohapatra, along with Dr Bhanu P Behera ( Head of Department - Placement and Career Development) and the dedicated coordination of Placement Team Jagan Mohan Mahapatro, Abinash Panigrahy, Pabitra Mohan, and Santosini, the event received a good response.
Collaborating with industry giants like Tech Mahindra and its partner companies, the programme opens up a gateway to a promising future for the chosen students. Upon successful completion of the training, they will be directly recruited by these companies, adding to Odisha's skilled talent pool and driving economic growth in the region.
