PCC president Niranjan Patnaik would be the Chief Ministerial candidate if the Congress comes to power in the 2019 elections, said PCC working president Chiranjib Biswal on Saturday.
“The party would go to the polls under the leadership of PCC president Patnaik and he certainly would be the Chief Minister if the party wins the polls,” said Biswal during the party’s Janjagaran Yatra in Baleswar.
A high-level team of the Congress is touring several parts of the State under its Janjagaran Yatra that was kicked off from Baleswar on October 3.
The yatra has been launched with a motive to reach out to people and revive the party’s organisational base ahead of the 2019 elections.
