One Dhiranjan Rout (36) of Alandha village of Nimapara NAC was attacked and killed on Saturday.
Deceased’s brother Kalandi Rout lodged an FIR against duo brother Pratap Pradhan,Pradip Pradhan, their father Parakhita Pradhan of Diparenta village and Ganua Behera of Andhiasahi.
The accused beat Dhiranjan with iron rod when he asked them to clear the debt they had taken from him. Dhiranjan got serious injury on his head and chest and got unconscious on the spot.
He was rushed to the Nimapara hospital by his relatives first and later, to the Capital Hospital, but there the doctors declared him brought dead.
On Sunday, his kin and co- villagers demanded that the police arrest the culprits soon.
Meanwhile, the police detained Parakhita Pradhan for inquiry.
