Vigilance sleuths on Monday conducted raids on the office and houses of Nimapara RMC Secretary Bijay Kumar Swain and his in-laws at Kiakanta village under the Ninapara NAC to detect assets possessed by Swain disproportionate to his know sources of income.
Sources said that the Vigilance officials detected assets worth lakhs of rupees which included 100 grams of gold ornaments, a car, four motorcycles and deposits in banks in two passbooks. Investigation was still on.
