A statue of legendary singer Banikantha Nimai Charan Harichandan was unveiled by Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Panda in the district Sanskruti Bhavan premises here on Tuesday. Mnister of Revenue and Disaster Management Maheswar Mohanty as chief guest and Puri MP Pinaki Misra as guest of honour were present.
Among others, Tourism and Culture Secretary Manoranjan Panigrahi, Director of Tourism Bijay Kumar Nayak, Puri Collector Jyotiprakash Das and District Culture Officer Chaudhury Aravind Das, besides the family members of Nimai Harichandan, were present on the occasion.
