The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) here has launched some high-end short-term programmes targeting towards the youth of the State. The programmes include Textile Design for Fashion (TDF), Fashion and Clothing Technology (FCT), Indian Fashion Apparel and Boutique Management (IFABM), Fashion Retail Management (FRM) and Garment Export Merchandising Management (GEMM). Besides, two week-long summer programmes in Fashion Sketching and Styling and CAD for Textile Printing have also been introduced. The youths can be enrolled in these programmes at an affordable price. Besides, industry exposure is mandatory for all the students enrolled in these programmes. Besides, the programmes will impart knowledge and skills to empower the women including housewives to start their own business even from home with little investment.
