The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bhubaneswar organised a three-day annual cross-centre sports and cultural meet ‘Converge-2014’ on Monday.
The NIFT, Bhubaneswar has hosted the event for three other centres, Kolkata, Patna and Shillong for the first-time. Nalco CMD Ansuman Das attended the inaugural event as the chief guest and said that fashion designing is a one of the few rare sectors where it is possible to combine one’s profession with one’s passion.
A total of 50 NIFTians represented their respective centres at the event. On the first day, all events ranging from cricket to quiz and from volleyball to Sudoku, saw neck-to-neck competitions among the teams. Director of the NIFT, Bhubaneswar Dr KCS Ray was present among faculties from all the four NIFT centres.
