Even though the mystery behind the killing of sheep in Cuttack district’s Niali area was yet to be unravelled, several sheep were reportedly killed by unidentified creatures in Cuttack’s Athagarh area and a village in Mayurbhanj district late on Tuesday night.
According to reports, as many as four sheep were killed at Panchagaon under Tigiria block in Cuttack district. The pugmarks of the killer animal were spotted at their shed, the reports said.On being informed, the Athagarh Forest Ranger and staffs reached the spot and started investigation.
Similarly, four sheep were reportedly killed by unidentified creatures at Aguada village under Betanati Forest Range in Mayurbhanj district. Following the incident, forest officials reached the area and examined the pugmarks of the suspected predatory animals.
