Probing into the viral sex video featuring intimate moments between a youth and a girl, both college students, in Nayagarh district, police on Sunday arrested the absconding accused student seen in the video.
The student was sent for medical examination. The accused identified as Pabitra Nayak had been at large after the sex video allegedly shot by him went viral on the internet.
During the course of investigation launched on Saturday, police had raided several places to trace the whereabouts of the accused.
The clip features the +3 second year boy and the +2 first year girl of a particular college near Kantilo in Nayagarh district. The boy allegedly recorded the video and shared it with some of his friends. The clip later got uploaded on social media and went viral.
While the video surfaced on social media and WhatsApp a few days ago, the family members of the girl student lodged a complaint against the boy at the Khandapada police station after they came to know about the matter. They have levelled allegations of rape against the boy in the FIR.
Taking stern action, the college authorities rusticated both the students from their institution.
