Even as daily Covid-19 cases are fluctuating in Odisha, the State Government on Friday said next three months would be crucial in preventing spread of virus. Health Director Bijay Mohapatra said October, November and December are very important and people should avoid crowded places and unnecessary travels. “In December, people travel to tourist  destinations, but they should avoid travelling and stay at home,” said Mohapatra.“As informed by the Central Government yesterday, the second wave has been effectively controlled in many States, but there are still many places where infections are still high. If people are not careful, cases will hike further,” he cautioned. Particularly in Bhubaneswar, the rate of infection has always been a cause for concern. Every day, 200 to 400 infections are being detected in State capital, Mohapatra pointed out. The Covid graph in city is fluctuating and not decreasing.. Therefore, people should strictly adhere to Covid-appropriate behaviour to prevent transmission of virus,” added Mohapatra.
