As the State Government on Wednesday allowed sale and service of automobiles, State Transport Authority (STA) has permitted registration of new vehicles by dealers. The registration will be done on VAHAN portal with effect from June 17.
The STA Chairman has written a letter to all Regional Transport Officers (RTOs) asking them to allow the dealers access to VAHAN portal until further orders.
Earlier in day, the Government allowed opening of automobile showrooms for sale and service of vehicles while announcing lockdown relaxations. The partial lockdown will remain in force from 5 am of June 17 to 5 am of July 1.
