The recently-constructed State Highway-65 connecting Cuttack and Bhubaneswar to Narsinghpur and Sambalpur via Athagarh looked like a river here as rainwater flowed three feet high over it for about five hours on Sunday.
Pedestrians and motorcycle commuters couldn't pass the road during the period. Locals alleged that the contractor RKD has not properly completed the work as per the Government norms.
They have demanded that the authorities probe the low-level work and construct the SH as per norms.
