A fresh document on the controversial Rafale deal has surfaced which establishes the direct involvement of the PMO in the scam, alleged PCC president Niranjan Patnaik.
He told that Congress president Rahul Gandhi had demanded an inquiry in the Rafale scam after a media house published a document in which an official in the Defence Ministry is seen objecting to the PMO’s interference in the deal.
Defence Minister Nirmala Sitaraman reacted to this demand in the Lower House of the Parliament and said, the “Congress party is beating a dead horse.” Sitharaman should tell the people who killed that horse, said Patnaik.
In today’s scenario, the BJP itself is like the owner of a dead horse which has only jumlas and false promises to offer to the people of the country, he added.
“The Prime Minister and other BJP leaders are only beating around the bush on the Rafale issue. They should tell us why they tried to mislead the Supreme Court and if they have done nothing wrong why they are not agreeing to a free and fair JPC probe. Are they scared of truth?” asked Patnaik. He also slammed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for being in a covert alliance with BJP as he has not spoken a single word on the biggest defence deal in the country.
