The Union Shipping Ministry appointed trustees for other interests of all major ports of India, including the Paradip Port Trust (PPP). As per previous Major Port guideline of Trust Board membership, the nominated political leaders have been appointed as trustee for the ports. The newly-appointed trustees for the Paradip Port representing other interests are former Minister Samir Dey, former MlA Baidhar Mallick, Pratap Chandra Mishra from Alanahat, Jagatsinghpur, and Bhuban Mohan Jena of Kendrapada. local BJP leaders expressed their gratitude to Union Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari for appointment of the new trustees.
