Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday approved a proposal of formation of two new police sub-divisions, one each in Ganjam and Bhadrak districts, for better policing. The new police sub-divisions would be Purusottampur in Ganjam district and Dhamnagar in Bhadrak district. Five police stations like Dhamnagar, Bhandaripokhari, Dhusuri, Banta and Agarpada would come under the jurisdiction of Dhamnagar police sub-division while four police limits, Purusottampur, Kabisuryanagar, Kodala and Polsara police stations would be come under Purusottampur police sub-division.
