A review meeting of the Balanga police station’s Ama Police Samiti was organised here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of PS OIC Susanta Kumar Sahoo in which discussions were held on law and order situation, illegal foreign liquor trade, traffic problems and night patrolling in the area.
Criticising the activities of police, Samiti members alleged that even if in the previous meeting it was decided to deploy police in front of liquor shop in Balanga Bazaar to restrict open consumption of liquor and control traffic but not been executed yet.
They also said that due to lack of patrolling crime, loot and theft cases are on rise and demanded Puri SP to open a new outpost at Ketakipatana to control crime.
