A total of 79 lecturers and Readers, including 15 guest faculties, are now managing teaching in the newly-formed Ramadevi Women’s University and efforts are on to create more new posts for the university.
Higher Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahy informed this in the Assembly in response to a question of Congress MlA Chiranjib Biswal on Thursday.
All the teaching and nonteaching staffs, who were on job in the erstwhile Ramadevi Autonomous College, have been posted in the now Ramadevi University. A process has also started to create new posts for the university, the Minister said.
The Government had given Rs 16 lakh towards salary payment to temporary lecturers in 201516 and Rs 7,51 lakh towards remunerations for the guest faculties of the institute.
