The CEO expressed his satisfaction on the State-of-the-art facilities being made available at the IGH and the dedicated medical care being provided to the patients there.

The use of liquid medical oxygen for patients at the IGH is the first of its kind among all SAIl hospitals. This will give uninterrupted and continuous oxygen supply to 278 points in the hospital including critical areas like OTs, ICU, Paediatric ICU, and CCU, etc. This system will provide continuous central suction at 258 points in different critical areas. This will also give pressurised compressed air at 38 points for use of ventilators and pneumatic drills in different operation theatres (OT) and ICU.

The Emergency laboratory in the ICU has been set up to help doctors treat critically ill patients admitted to the ICU, Burn Centre and the upcoming Trauma Centre. The tests will be available in minimum timefor the critically ill patients so that treatment can be started without delay. Three state of the art machines, a Blood Gas Analyser, a Clinical Chemistry Analyser and a Blood Cell Counter have been placed in this laboratory to cater to the need of the critically ill patients. The critical test parameters will be helpful not only in early diagnosis but also monitoring the patients round-the-clock admitted to the ICU, Burn and Trauma Centre.
