Minister of Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare and Cooperation Surjya Narayan Patro inaugurated a newly-constructed state-of-the-art ICSI Auditorium with all modern amenities at the ICSI Bhubaneswar Chapter on Sunday. The function was also attended by OMC MD and Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited CEO R Vineel Krishna.
Patro said the Company Secretaries, Chartered Accountants and Cost Accountants are the heart of the companies without whom not a company can function. Vineel Krishna emphasised on the crucial role of Company Secretaries in corporate governance and compliance of the companies. He also explained how Company Secretaries have significantly contributed in the process of building the Bhubaneswar Smart City and also in making statutory compliances of the Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC).
The function was attended by The ICSI president Makarand Lele, officiating secretary Ashok Kumar Dixit, council member SK Agrawala, EIRC chairman Ashok Purohit, Bhubaneswar Chapter chairman Surendra Nath Mallick and The ICSI director Dr SK Jena. The function was attended to by around 200 Company Secretaries from various companies and the Practising Company Secretaries. The auditorium would facilitate to organise various programmes like workshops, training and academic seminars related to the profession of Company Secretaries.
