After joining as the Collector of Gajapati district on Wednesday, Lingaraj Panda visited the Covid-19 Hospital at R Sitapur near here and took stock of the Covid management in the district.
Later interacting with media persons, he said the district has made considerable achievement on Covid management. The priorities would now be on education, horticulture-related livelihood promotion, developing model villages, etc.
Regarding the Neradi barrage being constructed by the Andhra Pradesh Government, the Collector said the district administration would always endeavour to protect interest of people who are going to be affected by the project.
On online education in a backward district like Gajapati, Panda said the administration would explore ways to take education to remote areas.
