A bridge of Talaandhia Behera Sahi under Chanarpada panchayat by the Pipili-Nimapara State Highway is in a dilapidated condition. So, it has become useless for the villagers, especially farmers.
Since the bridge could collapse at anytime, people are afraid of coming near it. The local MlA has ordered the Drainage Department to look into the matter but still no action has been taken.
The authorities from junior engineer to executive engineer are not in a mood to lend an ear to it. In Nimapara Drainage department, funds are used as per whims of the higher authorities without proper planning and due importance to the need of the people.
Thousands of acres of cultivated lands are connected with the Behera Sahi road but a single tractor cannot go through the bridge for ploughing purpose. The farmers are suffering a lot. So there is a demand for constructing a new bridge in the area.
