Youth leader Ranjit (Litu) Mohapatra has thanked BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for appointing him as a party State secretary and entrusting him with the responsibility of youth affairs.
Mohapatra, who has been discharging various party responsibilities successfully since his student days, said “I am thankful to the party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for having confidence in me. I will try my best to discharge the party responsibility given anew to me.” He was Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) Bhubaneswar district president from 2000 to 2002, BCJD State vice-president from 2002 to 2008, BCJD State president from 2008-2012 and Biju Yuba Janata Dal (BYJD) State vice-president from 2012 to 2014 and State advisor to BYJD from 2017 to 2020.
After he was appointed BJD secretary, people from different sections of the society has congratulated him.
