The 40th State convention of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was held at the Saraswati Sisu Mandir at Niladri Vihar here on Sunday.
Noted architect Abhay Samantray inaugurated the event. Parishad national secretary Nikhil Ranjan attended the meeting as chief guest while national vice-president lecturer Prashant Rout joined as chief speaker. On the occasion, the body elected its new State president and State secretary. Election Officer Bhagirathi Prusty elected Bhuban Women’s College Principal Dillip Das as the State president and Abhilash Panda as the State secretary.
later, a draft proposal on solutions to the deteriorating education system in the state made by Parishad executive member Bilochan Sahu addressing to the State Government was approved.
