Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is not only a national pride, he is an international hero, said Indonesia’s Deputy Chief of Mission Dalton Sembiring at the Netaji Utsav here. 104-year old Shekh Ramzaan Qureshi of the Azad Hind Fouz and Netaji’s associate was felicitated on the occasion.
Qureshi who has bullet injuries on his knee had fought as a soldier in Netaji formed Azad Hind Fouz. Qureshi told that Netaji is the only leader whose order is like god’s message to the soldiers.
Utkala Bikasha Juba Parisada which is carrying out a nation-wide Netaji Janma Mati Jatra demanding declassification of Netaji files, organized the three- day programme to mark the first anniversary of its campaign. Netaji’s granddaughter Jayanti Bose, grandson- in- law Amiya Rakshit, activist Prafulla Samantara, Sivanand Ray, Jagadananda and Pradyumna Satapathy among others were the guests. Utkal Bikasha Juba Parishad chairman Debiprasad Prusti presided.
