Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s granddaughter Jayanti Bose and grandson-in-law Amiya Rakhit encouraged voluntary blood donors at blood donation camp held here by a host of organisaions on Sunday.
The Utkal Blood Donor Forum, Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Peoples for Seva, Adwell, Teax VX, Human Rights Protection of India, Akankha Foundation, Shrabani Foundation, National Human Rights and Social Justice Commission organised the camp. Padmashri Bhabani Charan Patnaik, Mayor Anant Narayan Jena and Parichaya Foundation chief Rojalini Patsani Mishra inaugurated the camp.
Among others, MlA Priyadarshi Mishra, noted Gandhian Prahalad Sihna, social activist Indira Das, Royal Rotary member Ajaya Patnaik, social worker Debi Sipra Chakraborty, Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan’s SK Tamotia and Prof Raghunath Mandal were present.
A total of 60 units of blood were collected under the guidance of BMC Blood Bank’s Dr Jaydeep Ghosh.
