Neighbours are indispensable in our everyday activities. Bringing all the talents near our area to the limelight and establishing social justice is the motto of the Universal Neighbourhood Day this year, which was observed in Bhadrak with participation of scores of people.
Supreme Court lawyer and human rights activist Radhakanta Tripathy said that the day is celebrated to spread the message of brotherhood among the neighbours by overcoming the differences. The philosophy of ‘Each for all and all for each’ in our neighbourhood should be felt by all of us. In almost all the societies, the importance of neighbours is felt, he opined.
Among others, lawyer Prabas Barik and Sitakanta Tripathy assisted. It is pertinent to mention that, the day has been appreciated by the India Book of Records. This year the day witnessed the seventh consecutive year of celebration under leadership of Tripathy.
