Chairman of the National Commission for Schedule Tribes (NCST) Rameswar Oraon visited the Umri ST Girls’ Hostel at Jeypore block and the Gupteswar Kandulbeda Girls Hostel in Boipariguda block in Koraput district and inspected the infrastructures and other amenities available there
He later interacted with the students and staff of the hostels. Oraon said proper communication among students, staffs and parents is highly essential for a better and student-friendly environment.
The NCST Chairman also inspected security service at the hostels of the TRWS schools and directed to instal CCTVs both inside and outside of the premises.
He also focused on proper counselling of girls students for their better and secure future and later directed the district administration to keep a proper vigil on students and the behaviour of staffs towards the students.
Among others, district Collector V Jay Kumar and ITDA PA Sujata Mishra were present.
