NBW issued against Mahima, OSl dir

The Kujang JMFC Court on Friday issued non-bailable warrants (NBW) against Orissa Stevedores ltd (OSl) MD Mahimananda Mishra and director Basanta Kumar Bal in connection with the case of murder of Seaways Shipping and logistic ltd general manager Mahendra Swain (Babuli).

It may be noted that Swain had been shot dead in Paradip on October 26. Earlier, Congress leader Arindam (Bapi) Sarkhel and other five accused had been arrested by the Paradip police. But OSl MD Mishra and director Bal, main accused in the case, are still absconding. However, the police have seized their guns and bank accounts during raids in his residences and farmhouses at different places, besides issuing look out circulars against him.

Jagatsinghpur SP Jai Narayan Pankaj told reporters that police had approached the JMFC Court to issue NBW against Mishra and Bal as they didn’t respond to police notices.

Meanwhile, the Paradip police arrested an OSl employee, Sushanta Kumar Sethi, a close associate of Mishra, at the New Delhi airport, allegedly in connection with the murder case.
