The Nayapalli Durga Puja Committee is observing the Puja this year with a social cause, its president Pabitra Mohan Behera informed.
Briefing in a Press meet on Saturday, Behera said, “We have made a replica of the Art of living Foundation, Bangalore, founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar as our gate. It focuses on upliftment of human values at the grassroots level.”
We have been observing Durga Puja here since 1988, and every year, gates of Nayapalli Durga Puja give strong messages to the society, Behera said.
Besides, cultural functions including Bhajan Samaroha, melody and Ramaleela would be organised during the festival. Among others, general secretary of the committee Sushanta Kumar Das, advisor Naba Kishore Behera and executive member Kedar Pattnaik were present.
