The Veterans Club Odisha (VCO) is set to make history on the Navy Day as it will honour the brave warriors from Odisha who have displayed exceptional courage and dedication in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force. The event, a first of its kind in Odisha, will take place on December 3 at Amrapalli Resort in Fulankhara, Kurang Sasan.

The ceremony aims to recognize individuals decorated with prestigious awards such as Vir Chakra, Shaurya Chakra, Sena Medal, Nausena Medal, and Vayusena Medal for their supreme sacrifices and valour in service to the nation. Notably, the families of posthumous awardees will also be felicitated, honouring their enduring sacrifice.

VSM, Naval Officer-In-Charge Odisha, Commodore NP Pradeep will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The event will witness the honouring of three warriors from the Indian Army, four from the Indian Navy, and three from the Indian Air Force, highlighting the diverse contributions of Odia servicemen across the armed forces.

In addition to the felicitation ceremony, the event will provide a unique opportunity for students from schools and colleges to interact with these real-life heroes. This initiative aims to instill a sense of patriotism and nationalism among the youth by allowing them to listen, learn, and be inspired by the stories of these ten brave warriors.
