Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday launched his Government’s ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative under the Government’s 5T programme on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanti. And he spoke to eight persons over phone.
Patnaik talked to the eight persons, who had earlier visited police stations and hospitals, to collect their feedbacks about the situations they witnessed there. The numbers were collected randomly from the Mo Sarkar portal.
The Mo Sarkar initiative was launched at all the police stations, 21 District Headquarters Hospitals (DHHs) and medical college hospitals in Cuttack, Sambalpur and Brahmapur. The Chief Minister’s Office said the programme would be effective at all DHHs of the State by October-end. Also, all the Government departments would implement the programme by March 5, 2020.
Under the programme, the Government would collect feedbacks on behaviour and professionalism of Government officers. The Chief Minister and other Ministers, the DGP and the departmental Secretaries and the heads of hospitals would call phone numbers, collected randomly, for feedbacks.
The phone numbers of people who are visiting different Government offices would be registered and SMSs would be sent to their numbers within 24 hours. If an SMS is not received or the number is not registered, the concerned person can give a miss call to 14545 and get his/her number registered.
The Government employees would be ranked good or bad on the basis of the feedbacks, stated the CMO release adding that the identities of the persons giving negative feedbacks would be kept secret.
The Chief Minister also on the day launched the logo and preamble of the Mo Sarkar programme.
Notably, the CM had announced the programme on the Independence Day this year.
