BJD president Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday appointed younger leaders as spokespersons of the party in a 10-member team.
The members are MlA Amar Satpathy, former Ministers Pratap Deb and Rabi Narayan Nanda, MlA Sashibhushan Behera, MlAs Pratap Jena, Samir Das, Raseswari Panigrahi, Damburu Sisa and Divyasankar Mishra and Minority leader Sasmit Patra.The notification of appointment was issued while the party is under fire due to land and house allotment scam, Ghangapatna forestland scam and hospital land row.
Sources said the team would be engaged to build party image by defending the party’s stand. The designated persons would speak in the public on the behalf of the party.
